The Auxiliary Police is composed of volunteers of all backgrounds, professions, and ages. Unit 317 covers the communities of Plainview and Old Bethpage, serving as an essential resource for both residents and law enforcement. Our mission is to enhance public safety through patrols, traffic control, and assistance during community events, as well as to provide a visible presence that promotes security and peace of mind.
Our officers receive extensive training, including instruction in crime prevention, emergency response, and crowd management. We work closely with the Nassau County Police Department to ensure that our efforts effectively support their operations, making our neighborhoods safer for all.
