Sgt. Zack Magee joined the Auxiliary Police in 2014, and was valedictorian of the 2016-01 Auxiliary Police Academy class. He was promoted to Patrolman First Class in 2018 and promoted to Sergeant in 2022. He was appointed Unit Commanding Officer in 2025.
Sgt. Magee holds Department of Criminal Justice certifications as a General Topics Instructor and a Criminal Investigator.
Sgt. Magee is a four time recipient of the Meritorious Service award, and a one time recipient of the Excellent Service award.
Sgt. Magee sits on the IT committee and oversees the timekeeping system for the Auxiliary Police.
By day, Sgt. Magee operates an IT firm headquartered in Plainview.
The Plainview Unit of the Auxiliary Police serves the Plainview and Old Bethpage communities.
